Website
The Bytescapes website was designed and implemented by Angus McIntyre. The site is authored offline as XML and translated to XHTML using Ant and a custom Ant task called XMelissa. A variety of Perl scripts are also used to generate sitemaps and manage the structure of the site.
Interactive elements are implemented using jQuery. The site uses the Kwicks and jTip plugins as well as some custom plugins written for this site.
The share box uses Aquaticus Social icons by jwloh. The site also makes use of the open share icon and the standard feed icon.
Site search uses a mixture of PHP and Ruby to query a Ferret index.
For website development services using these and other technologies, please see nomadcode.
